The Constitution of the United States of America was put into effect on March 4, 1789 and the 12 laws became the backbone of the democratic society that Americans reference their rights on. Since 1789 most of these laws have been modified to ensure that all Americans are treated equal and fair. Socialistic programs originated in the 1830’s and this program is based on the government owning and deciding for its citizens. Socialistic programs do not allow for private ownership of property, nor can distribution of goods be privately owned. All things are owned by the state.
Of course, no concept is completely flawless. The premise of Constitutional programs vs. Socialistic programs is the constitution, in its own right, is based on the individuals civil liberties and freedoms. Socialism is based on the theory that everyone gets one before anyone gets two. With Socialistic concepts there is no incentive to improve one’s lifestyle because it doesn’t matter how hard an individual works because there is no reward for doing so. However, with Constitutional concepts the harder one works the larger the reward.
Constitutional language meanings change over time. It can mean several things at the same time and is difficult to interpret what the original meaning may have been or what our founding fathers were trying to accomplish when these Constitutional programs were first contemplated. Socialistic programs, in theory, were put into effect to promote equality and wealth among its citizens. When human beings are not given a reason to prosper or to work toward a common goal they won’t. This concept does not promote individuals to strive harder to succeed because no matter what has been accomplished one will never be able to call anything their own.
